Mama Mia! I still have to pinch myself when I think about Antony & Molly's amazing wedding on the beautiful Greek island of Skiathos! Being a wedding photographer in Leeds offers so much opportunity for fantastic wedding venues but I was extra excited to photograph this destination wedding! These two know how to throw a party and they chose such a picturesque location for the big day. The only things missing were Cher and Meryl!
The celebrations started the night before with a delicious dinner at Scuna, an elegant mediterranean restaurant serving traditional cuisine. There were high spirits and much fun and laughter in anticipation of the next day, and most of the wedding party retired early enough to get some beauty sleep...
The next day, Molly got ready at her hotel with assistance from the fabulous Skiathos Hair, Nails & Make Up before arriving at The Bourtzi, situated on a little peninsula in Skiathos Town. She looked absolutely stunning in her Grecian dress with lace detail on the back from wed2b. Antony hid any nerves well behind his Ray Bans and cooly waited with his groomsmen.
It was an emotional moment for everyone when Molly walked down the aisle! There were tears everywhere as Antony looked lovingly at his gorgeous bride! Thankfully the Ray Bans had been removed for the ceremony! :)
I love this shot because it really captures the happiness of the 'we did it' moment. Cute!
The fizz started to flow soon afterwards, as guests relaxed on the beautiful terrace at The Bourtzi.
Antony & Molly squeezed in a couple of celebratory drinks before talking some time out together on the beach outside the restaurant.
The perfect finale was a trip up into the hills to The Olive Tree restaurant for the wedding breakfast, drinks and dancing!
