Laura and Stefan's wedding was all about family and fun! I absolutely loved photographing the action packed festivities which were spread over two separate days and included everything from a quiet family ceremony to a huge party with a prosecco reception, funk band and catering from Reds True BBQ - definitely a good day for this wedding photographer!
The intimate wedding ceremony took place on Friday 9th August at Leeds Town Hall and featured Stefan & Laura's children as cute ring bearers! Laura looked stunning in a dress she had made herself! The creative bride also made daughter Layla's dress and son Dylan's waistcoat and shorts! The purple, green and gold colours represent the feminist movement and the purple patterned fabric is from Africa and a nod to Laura'a birth place, Swaziland.
The first sign that this wasn't your average wedding was when the classical background music stopped and Laura and Stefan walked down the aisle together, hand in hand to Fatboy Slim's 'Praise You'.

A drinks reception and lunch followed at the lovely Mustard Pot pub in Chapel Allerton, where guests arrived to giant gold GRINNIK balloons to celebrate the Green-Winnik union!

Laura and Stefan jetted off to Malaga the next day for a few days of relaxation, cava and tapas all organised by the brilliant Laura at Travel Counsellors.
Saturday 24th August was the day for a big celebration at Thorner Victory Hall. The hall had been dressed beautifully with drapes and fairy lights for the wedding celebrations. Again, Laura and Stefan arrived in style to Fatboy Slim's 'Praise You' with applause ands cheers from all their family and friends.

While the guests happily tucked into Reds True BBQ treats and drank Prosecco, they were entertained by Lewis Crossley on his guitar. Of course there was also entertainment for the children from Anything Could Happen, a childrens' story company in Leeds.
The amazing speeches came next & Laura's son Leon had everyone laughing and in tears - a totally winning speech!

Afterwards, the fun and games continued outside in the gorgeous fields around the hall.

As the sun set, the fantastic Cleve Freckleton, also known as Chunky But Funky (check them out!) got the evening off to a great start with his amazing soulful voice & beats!

The couple and their family headed off on their second honeymoon the next day to Sicily.
