Falcon Manor Wedding Photography

Falcon Manor could not have been a better winter wedding venue for Jess and Rowan’s intimate, romantic candle lit and snowy wedding on Saturday. I was excited to be taking their wedding photographs in such a cozy and warm venue as I ploughed through the snow on the short drive from the other side of Settle in the stunning Yorkshire Dales. I’d taken no chances with storm Eunice looming over us the night before and decided it was best to travel up that evening to ensure I didn’t miss any of the wedding festivities.

Winter Wedding at Falcon Manor

I arrived at Falcon Manor as the snow was falling heavily and took the opportunity for a quick wander around the snow filled grounds with my camera. Some of the lovely guests smiled and waved down at me with my camera from their warm and inviting looking rooms as I scampered, very happily, around the grounds with my wide angel lens in the snow!

Jess was getting ready in the Rafter's Suite at Falcon Manor when arrived so I had a chat with Rowan and we had a quick look around at some of the gorgeous wedding details they had put together including the candles in the ceremony room and the Elizabeth wedding cake.

I then joined Jess in the main suite as she happily got ready with her gorgeous little girl, sister and mum. The amazing Rafters Suite has huge windows which provided the most perfect natural light for stunning bridal preparation photos. I also spent some time with Rowan and best man Jack who were doing a great job relaxing before the ceremony in the bar!

Wedding Ceremony at Falcon Manor

Jess and Rowan's wedding ceremony took place in the light filled main room which has huge windows that open onto the terrace. The couple had filled the room with candles which resulted in a beautiful, warm wedding ceremony that was full of emotion which I loved capturing for them on my camera. Their daughter sat just behind the couple with Jess's family which created lovely, natural wedding photographs.

After a short, relaxed and intimate wedding service, there was time for a quick drink before we headed outside for confetti photographs and a few traditional group shots as the snow had stopped and the blue sky was starting to appear.

We took advantage of the weather (something I always do) improving and were able to take some beautiful couple photographs in the snow within the Falcon Manor grounds. The snow on the ground and the blue skies looked spectacular through my lens and I was thrilled to be able to give Jess and Rowan and their families a sneak peak at them on my camera screen after our ten minute stroll around the gardens.

After our couple photos, we headed back inside the lovely warm building to be greeted with a roaring fire and champagne and canapes being served, which the wedding party were enjoying!

Jess and Rowan wanted a simple and relaxed day with their guests and so when the time came to be seated for the wedding breakfast they skipped any speeches and sat down to enjoy food and drinks with their lovely family and friends.

Evening wedding reception at Falcon Manor

The team at Falcon Manor did an amazing job to ensure that the evening party went ahead despite the weather conditions. The DJ got the party started after the cutting of the cake. Friends and family watched Jess and Rowan's first dance and then needed little encouragement to join them on the dance floor. Much fun was had late into the evening!

Thank you so much to Jess and Rowan for having me - it was a wonderful day to be a part of! I can't wait to be back at Falcon Manor later this year Xx
