Leeds Wedding Photographer's Family Photography Blog - week 14
Updated: Jul 9, 2020
With restrictions easing this week and the news that weddings can go ahead with 30 people in attendance from 4th July I started to get excited! Then I realised that the guidelines stated no more than two households could meet indoors.....after getting my head around that it became clear that it may still be a while until wedding receptions and larger gatherings can go ahead. Not to be deterred, this week has brought some great moments for beautiful portraits of family and friends as well as some fabulous weather.....
We started the week with my gorgeous niece's second (socially distanced) birthday party and a zoom lens (to get to the places I couldn't go!). There may only have been six of us in attendance as well as the birthday girl herself, but it didn't affect Elsie's (or our) enjoyment of the evening although it would have been lovely if Grandparents could also have attended. We ate cake and helped Elsie open various Peppa Pig themed presents and watched as she wanted to try on every new item of clothing she received! There may even have been a glass or two of my new favourite Cava shared amongst the adults (who cheers'd at a distance).
On Saturday we ventured over to Ripponden for some of our dearest friends' 1st anniversary celebration of their fantastic bakery opening - The Triangle Bakehouse. Again, this was a small affair, but we enjoyed some lovely fresh Bucks Fizz with Vic & Aarons amazing homemade brioche buns and sourdough bread to accompany it! I wish that we lived nearer so we could get hold of their amazing baking more often but we were very happy to leave with a Cheddar and Black Pepper Sourdough loaf for now!
Sunday brought the return of live football on TV. There was much excitement amongst the neighbours about this which resulted in a swift purchase of a gazebo and a three hour technical challenge to see how the Leeds Utd game could be viewed outside on the street with socially distanced viewing chairs! The children all loved it and we even allowed Barney to have some Leeds Utd face paints (sorry to all the die hard Baron family Rover's supporters - I promise it it's only a temporary switch of loyalties!!).
Take care everyone and see you next week xxx
